It’s time to get the South Cle Elum Rail Yard looking nice for another summer season. We will be having a weekend work party on Saturday, April 22 and Sunday, April 23, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Join us to help preserve Milwaukee Road history.
Volunteer work includes:
- Rail yard vegetation control, cutting back small trees and shrubs and loading the trimmings to be hauled away from the rail yard.
- Substation organization and junk removal. This is a good chance to see an amazing building and be a part of the effort to open it for interpretive tours.
- Depot cleaning and maintaining exhibits on display at the museum.
Volunteers of all skills and abilities are welcomed.
Show up dressed for dirty work and bring your favorite work gloves and any other appropriate personal protection equipment. Bring your own hand tools if you can.
If you can join the party, please send us a message through the ‘contact’ page of our website so we can plan the work and contact you if plans change.
