Cascade Rail Foundation’s annual meeting will be held on Saturday, January 7, 2023 at 10 a.m. The annual meeting is an opportunity to review progress and updates from 2022 and discuss our plans for 2023 and beyond.
We’re starting a new project out on the trail! Our signal team, with the approval of State Parks, removed the US&S searchlight signal from Hillcrest, a remote location approximately three miles east of Ralston on May 14.
We aim to have the exhibit area in the depot open to the public every Saturday between noon and 4 p.m. from Memorial Day through the end of September. We need more depot docents to make this happen.

It’s time to get the South Cle Elum Rail Yard looking nice for another summer season. We will be having a work party on Saturday, May 15 from 10 am to 3 pm, working on cleaning the depot and doing vegetation maintenance.
As the tide turns on the pandemic, we are continuing with virtual events for at least the first part of the year. The March Milwaukee Meet will be a Zoom event held on Saturday, March 27th at 10 a.m.(Pacific).
