A new sign will welcome visitors to the South Cle Elum Rail Yard Interpretive Center soon, thanks to Eagle Scout candidate Spencer Riley. Thank you Spencer!
The sign will be located at the corner of Milwaukee Road and 6th Street.
Spencer developed the design, got it approved by Washington State Parks, and is organizing a work party to prepare the site.
The work party will be Saturday, August 25 from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The work will include brush clearing, digging holes for the sign posts and spreading red-rock ground cover around the area. The sign posts will be set in cement on Saturday, with the finished sign to follow about a week later.
