Great American Rail-Trail tour kickoff event September 23

The Great American Rail-Trail™ will be the nation’s first cross-country multiuse trail. The trail will be separated from vehicle traffic across 3,700 miles between Washington State and Washington, D.C.

We’ll be hosting the kickoff for a special trail tour led by the Rails to Trails Conservancy (RTC). The tour will bring a group of journalists, elected officials, and advocates on a tour of the Great American Rail-Trail from Cle Elum to downtown Seattle with a goal of building support to connect and maintain this iconic trail corridor.

The tour kickoff celebration will be held at the South Cle Elum depot on Tuesday, September 23, at 9 a.m. It will bring extra attention to the many ways the Palouse to Cascades State Park Trail is invaluable to the region’s economy and quality of life.

The public is invited to attend the kickoff celebration. Please RSVP today if you plan to attend.

Please reach out to Eduardo Coyotzi Zarate, RTC’s communications associate, at eduardo@railstotrails.org with any questions.
