Space is available for lease inside the historic Milwaukee Road railroad depot, located on the Palouse to Cascades State Park Trail in the Town of South Cle Elum. It is suitable for several uses, including food service, entertainment, hospitality, or retail. Any business leasing the space must provide a service for trail users.
The space features a modern and efficient kitchen with a comfortable dining area. Both have recently been refurbished, including a new floor in the dining area. The commercial kitchen is partially equipped and ready to be finished to the tenant’s specifications. The former depot freight room, connected to the dining area, is also available for lease.
The 1909-vintage depot is located in the South Cle Elum Rail Yard Historic District. It is near the popular recreational destinations of Cle Elum and Roslyn, just minutes from Interstate 90. The dining room offers scenic foothill and mountain views.
The rehabilitation of the historic depot with a new foundation and modern building systems was led by Cascade Rail Foundation and completed in 2005. Development of the South Cle Elum Rail Yard is a cooperative effort between Washington State Parks and Cascade Rail Foundation
