We held another 5057 open house for donors on Saturday, May 30, at the Columbia Rail shop in Richland, WA. The locomotive was placed outside so it could be viewed in the sunshine. There is still some work needed on the cab, as well as some other tasks. We are trying to complete the cosmetic restoration by the end of August.
We were very pleased to have Gary Pember join us. Gary is a former Milwaukee Road employee who worked on the 5057 and other locomotives in the Tacoma Shops.
