Biographical Info

Located in Cle Elum, Washington, founded in 1966, NKCHS is dedicated to increasing awareness of local history and its future impact on their community. Their properties include the Carpenter House Museum and Gallery, and the Telephone Museum, both in Cle Elum. They also partner with restoration efforts such as this Milwaukee Road Depot project in South Cle Elum and with owners of other historic buildings in the area. They invite people to join them in celebrating the rich history of Northern Kittitas County. Their mission is to further the preservation and dissemination of Northern Kittitas County history by such means deemed appropriate by the Board of Directors, including cooperation with other societies and organizations with like interests and goals.
